Join educators from SFU and elsewhere as we explore the challenges and rewards associated with the innovative use of pedagogical approaches and learning technologies in mathematics and science education. This year's Symposium will focus on strategies, tools, lessons and examples, and critical perspectives on quantitative reasoning, and beyond "Q". Relevant themes include: exploring Q as a form of critical, analytical thinking to demonstrate that Q is more than numeracy and calculations; overcoming Q anxiety; interdisciplinary Q courses, and course design to incorporate math, stats, and logic in traditionally non-Q courses; and, Q support mechanisms.
